During the 2024 Summer, FCA and the Rural Kids Initiative Launched its first ever baseball/softball clinic for athletes ages 4-12 years old.  The goals of this clinic were to:

  • Learn the fundamentals of softball and baseball!
  • Be a fun, engaging and great learning experience for young athletes. 
  • Be taught by expert coaches: Vincenzo Pepe, Brandon Gettig, Jordan Bernacet, Andrew Drescher, and Staci Kane.

VINCENZO PEPE: Your Head Coach

Meet Your Head Trainer:

Vincenzo Pepe: Vincenzo is on staff with FCA as our Hudson Valley Director. He played 4 years of college baseball. As captain his senior year he helped bring his team for a conference championship game. Vincenzo also holds a Master’s Degree in Sport Psychology and loves using that experience to build a complete athlete. Vincenzo coaches a 15u team for a nationally ranked travel team and has trained players from little league to the collegiate level. His favorite food is pizza and he loves the color green!

Jordan Bernacet joined Siena Baseball as an Assistant Coach in September 2023. He primarily works with the outfielders and as the team's baserunning coach. As of the summer of 2024 he accepted a postion as an Assistant Coach at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI).


Bernacet joins the Saints after spending the past two seasons as an Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator at Savannah State University in Savannah, Georgia, helping the team to a 67-26 overall record, a regular season title in 2022, and an SIAC Tournament Runner-Up finish in 2023. He coached 11 All-Conference and three All-Region selections in two seasons, as well as the 2022 SIAC Player of the Year.

Staci Kane is a high school softball coach with a passion to see young girls excel in athletics, especially softball.  She will be joining our staff at the baseball/softball clinic this August to work with our young girls in conjunction with skills and drills training throughout our three day session. 

Brandon Gettig is on staff at FCA.  He spent time on the Houghton baseball coaching staff starting in the fall of 2019 after an impressive collegiate playing career.   Gettig graduated from Penn State University-Dubois with honors in May 2019, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business with a management and marketing option.   A four-year member of the PSU-Dubois baseball team, Gettig joined the Lions for their inaugural campaign in 2015-16 and stayed long enough to win back-to-back USCAA National Championships in his junior and senior years.

Andrew Drescher is a high school varsity baseball coach who led his team to a league championship in his first year as a coach. As a elementary teacher in his full time job, Andrew has a knack for teaching young people and enjoys growing their love of the game.
