Pickleball, Pumpkins, and Pastries Part 2

A Day of Joy, Movement, and Belonging — Pickleball, Pastries & Pumpkins 2025

On October 18th, 2025 Capital Region FCA hosted our 2nd Annual Pickleball, Pastries & Pumpkins All-Ability Clinic — and it became a day many of us will never forget.

Families from across the region gathered to celebrate athletes with all abilities in an environment filled with encouragement, joy, and the love of Christ. Athletes rotated through four stations — Pickleball, Soccer, Fitness, and our first-ever Adaptive Skateboarding experience. Each station was led by trained volunteers who created a supportive, energetic, and accessible space where every athlete could shine.

The sounds of high-fives, cheering, and laughter filled the air as athletes tried new activities, grew in confidence, and formed new friendships. Meanwhile, parents and caregivers connected with one another, sharing stories, support, and gratitude for a place where their athletes are seen, included, and celebrated.

This clinic is a clear picture of the heart of FCA:
Community. Competition. Christ.

Every part of the day reflected that — not just through sports, but through genuine love, encouragement, and joy.

We are incredibly grateful for our volunteers, sponsors, churches, and families who made this day possible. Thank you for helping us build a community where every ability belongs and every person is welcomed with the love of Jesus.
